Medicine Ball

 

It has been around for a long time but the medicine ball workout is still an effective way to exercise. It is a great way to challenge yourself and to mix up your routine.

A medicine ball workout can add variety to your routine and help challenge muscles that you never even know you had!

Doing a medicine ball workout adds a whole new dimension to your training since it takes you through all planes of motions (unlike traditional weight training). This helps also helps you with everyday activities. So what do you do in a medicine ball workout? Now days there are many shapes, weights and sizes of this equipment so it is easy to find the right one to suit your fitness level.

There are many exercises that you can include in your program; here are a few ideas to get you started: Abdominal crunches: hold the equipment over your head to add intensity to your workout. Inner thigh squeezes: Lie on your back and place the equipment between your knees, squeeze your thighs as you gently lift your legs off the ground. Arm Toss: With a partner, toss the orb back and forth pulling it in to your chest to work you arms. Shoulders: hold on to the globe in front of you and squeeze as you lift both arms ups to shoulder level.
