When the blood supply to any part of the brain is interrupted you ate having a stroke. This results in damaged brain tissue.

It is the third leading cause of death in most developed countries. The risk of having a stroke doubles every decade after age 35.

Doctors will give immediate treatment involving several kinds of medications. Long term treatment is also needed to recover as much body function as possible and prevent further attacks.
