Yoga Music

Getting some good yoga music is a great idea and will really help to improve your workout.

There is a variety of different types of yoga music out there so you will want to be sure that you are getting some that is suited to the type you are doing.

Generally for hatha style you will want the yoga music to be relaxing and have a calming effect. You may also even wish to look into what individuals listen to when they go for massages or do meditation, as you will want the same effects.

If you are more into a power style then you will want to find a CD or tape that is more upbeat in nature so as to make you feel more energized for your workout.

One very popular artist who has a few CD's out is Robert Gass. His first one is called "Om Namaha Shivaya" and is the most popular. It is very soothing in nature and perfect for those who are using this exercise to distress.

The next CD of his is called "Bliss Om Namaha Shivaya" and is similar in nature but even more beautiful in sound. Included is the bamboo flute, which adds an interesting touch to the sound portrayed. It also has a simple and repetitive melody so it will not break your concentration while you are exercising.

Finally his third CD, "Alleluia - Kyrie", includes a wide variety of chants and is a great starter CD for anyone who is interested in this type of composition.
